BME Social Inclusion and Participation Worker (female)

Location   –  Roshni Ghar, Keighley

Contract   –  3 years, subject to satisfactory review

Hours       –  37.5/week

Salary      -  £22,293 – 24,594  

We are looking to recruit one exception individual, who can demonstrate a commitment to driving forward social inclusion for BME women accessing mental health services in the Keighley and Airedale area.  

The role will involve -

• The planning and delivery of mental health support sessions for women as well as supporting self-support initiatives;
• A multi agency approach to delivering responsive and holistic mental health care support;
• Direct work with Bradford and Airedale NHS Services;
• Capacity building and support of community and service user representation with Mental Health services;
• Providing a dual statutory-voluntary sector bridge for the delivery of mental health services in Keighley.

To fulfil the responsibilities of this role, you must provide evidence of –

• Mental Health care work experience of a minimum of 2 years
• The ability to fluently speak Bengali (Sylethi dialect)
• Good knowledge of Equality and Diversity legislation
